Reducing ICT, IT and Technology costs and achieving best value are key drivers in the Public Sector.
We provide procurement advice, price benchmarking and negotiation coaching to help public sector organisations deliver better value for money from their current and future ICT spend.
The public sector will have to meet huge new savings targets under the Operational Efficiency Programme (OEP) recommendations released alongside the recent April 2009 UK Budget delivered by Alastair Darling. The OEP report identified four areas of potential savings: back office peratins, IT, collaborative procurement and property estate. Overall the OEP believes that £15 billion can be saved, of which £6 billion will be delivered as part of the current spending review and £9 billion would need to be delivered annually by 2014.
As highlighted in Sir Peter Gershon’s review entitled, “Releasing resources to the front line” to improve your organisations efficiency, a change in thinking and approach can often lead to surprising savings opportunities.
