silver bullet = a quick solution to a difficult problem.
We work with IT Directors, IT Managers, and Software Procurement professionals who are concerned that they may be paying too much for software products and services, and who are unsure what discounts and concessions they should be asking for when they are negotiating with their software suppliers. We provide our clients with both price benchmarking data and negotiation advice which means that they can then confidently approach their software suppliers and negotiate higher discounts, lower prices and better value.
As a result our clients reduce their software costs and save money.
And it’s important to note that we are totally independant and software agnostic; we do not sell any software and we have no affiliations with any software suppliers. Unlike many of the mainstream IT Consultancies and IT Research companies who generate incomes from both software suppliers and software users, you can be assured that our procurement and negotiation advice will always be truly independent and unbiased.
Silver Bullet Associates was founded in 2003 by its current Managing Director, Mark Bartrick, after lengthy research and consultation with various CIOs, IT Directors, IT Managers and IT Procurement specialists. Prior to setting up the company, Mark had spent 17 years in the IT industry working in the UK, Europe and the USA in various sales and sales management roles for various IT and Software vendors and most recently Gartner. During his time selling for IT vendors Mark witnessed first hand how businesses often miss out on getting the best deals, prices and discounts simply because they don’t know what to ask for and how to ask.
Silver Bullet Associates now provides this market intelligence exclusively to IT Managers and Software Procurement professionals, and we are helping many businesses and organisations reduce their software costs.
One of our continuing frustrations is seeing organisations repeating commercial mistakes that have been made by others. Another frustration is to watch organisations go through long (and costly) learning experiences when dealing with new or unfamilar software suppliers. Using our expertise can shorten your procurement process and ensure you don’t make the same mistakes your predecessors did!
If you search Google for ‘Silver Bullet’ you’ll often see news items saying ‘there is no such thing as a silver bullet’. Well there is and you’ve just found it!
And finally, now you know more about us, we also just wanted to take this opportunity to draw your attention to our favourite local charity; www.abs-kids.co.uk. This has been set up to help kids understand and tackle bullying. It’s well worth a look and they are grateful for any donations you may wish to send them.
